With horror, my shelties found out that my daughter is a cat lover.

Here is her kitty - "brat"- alias - Puss Puss

October is one of our favorite seasons - we look forward to old and new family traditions and we instill fond memories shared with family.

October 1st - we decorate the home with fall colours and holloween decorations. Candles and baking scents of apples, ginger, cloves and cinnamon fill the air. We visit the pumpkin patch and buy at least 6 pumpkins and corn stalks from the farmer down the road. We ensure we get good ones so that we can make our jack-o-laterns and baked pumpkin seeds, pumpkin soup and the traditional pumpkin roll filled with amerretto cream cheese.

This year...we add another memory...my mother-in law, Joy Ann Leach, a memory never to be forgotten. On October 2nd - we celebrate the first anniversary of her passing. We celebrate her life that she lived, her fight for life, and all beautiful memories that she shared with us.

We miss you dearly Joy. Rest peacefully and know that you have family and friends that love you and speak your name with love, happiness and respect everyday. We love you.

How "fitting", that October is also Breast Cancer Awareness month.

July 28 - Happy 1st Birthday Rayna!!! ....

Thank you Kim and Peter for the gorgeous pictures of Rayna, including this beautiful headshot.

End of the Showing season for us. Taking a long deserved break and doing some R&R with the kids and Family.

2006 Arhive News

October 2, 2006 - My mother-in-law Joy Ann Leach (nee Berry) passed away peacefully at the Elisabeth Bruyère Health Centre at 7:30 p.m. after a courageous thirteen year battle with cancer. Dear daughter of the late Charles Edward Berry and Mary Christine Berry (nee Nicholson). Wife of late William Edward Woodruff and late Percy Leach. Companion and best friend of William Weatherup. Cherished Mother of Edward (Pennylynn) and Robert. Proud and loving Nanny of Adam, Amanda, Sharilyn, Tyler and Brianna. Sister of Earl (Lois) Berry of Pembroke and the late Bud Berry. Sister-in-law of Marjorie Berry. Joy was a retired employee of Sears Canada and very much involved in the Legion. She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, friends and acquaintances and will be remembered for her generosity, friendships, spirit, and razor-sharp wit. A memorial for Friends was at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road on Friday October 6 from 10 am until service time in the Chapel at 12 noon. A Reception followed. Her ashes were buried with her first husband at Pinecrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, we had asked for donations in Joy's memory to the Canadian Cancer Foundation. My tribute to a beautiful woman, mother, grandmother and dearest friend.
