We offer specific gooming tools (while supplies Last - look below for what we have left) that you will require for your sheltie from puppy stage to times of blowing their coat and to old age.
This can save you time and shipping costs considering most of the tools are available at online shops...
and NOT in Pet Stores AND at a cheaper price.

Having the correct tools will make your Shelties coat beautiful and keep your
Sheltie's skin and healthy. There is a reason why you fell in love with this breed -
groom it!
Separate Purchases we have on hand - this includes taxes I have incurred.
- Molting Comb: $8.35 :: Molting Rake (SOLD OUT) :: Pin Brush: $10.02 :: Small Slicker: S13.50 :: Large Slicer: $15.30
|
NOTE: A sheltie will blow his first coat at about a year of age and then twice a year after that. He/she will require lots of brushing and pulling out of the undercoat. The Rake AND the Molting Comb are the best tools to do this with. |
A small slicker brush is a great purchase as it will brush the puppy with no problem. As it grows, it is also great for the face, back of ears, legs, hocks and tail. A larger slicker brush is great for the adult sheltie for line brushing of his/her body. |
| The pin brush is used for quick brushing (top coat) and helping out with the brushing of the ruff. |
Grooming sessions and Ear training (glueing) are
complimentary when you get a puppy/dog from us.. |
We
want to ensure that we are placing our puppies in the best
possible home, so we will ask many questions to determine
whether a sheltie or more particular the puppy will match
you and your family and lifestyle and in turn we want you
to ask us questions.
Preference
will be given to those who come for a home visit for a "get
to know" session
"meet and greet" with Ruffleith.
~~ Visits by appointment only.
~~ We reserve the right to refuse a sale ~~
Before purchasing
any puppy, please take
into consideration your current and future situations.
They are a lifetime commitment...
most shelties will live between 10 and 15 years... some longer. Don't buy the dog as a surprise gift!
Do
not bring home a puppy unless:
-
You have a fenced
yard or a secure area - NOT "Invisible"
or underground fencing! This is not considered to be a
viable alternative. It does not keep out other animals
and traps your dog, should another dog enter your yard.
-
The dog will be allowed
to live in the house.
-
You have "dog-proofed"
your home. This means getting down at the dog's level
and making sure that breakable items, poisonous plants
and substances, and hazards for a curious and chewing
puppy (i.e. electrical cords, trash cans) are out of reach.
-
You have purchased a dog
crate. - A crate makes house training easier and is a
"safe place" to relax.
We would
be happy to place your name on a waiting list should a pet companion come available in upcoming litters.
If at the
time you are looking and we have no puppies available
or if you live far from us, we would be more then happy
to assist you in finding another reputable breeder in
your area or you can visit our Canadian
Sheltie Breeder's Site. All the breeders are registered
with CKC and a part of the Canadian Shetland Sheepdog
Association.
We
will evaluate the puppies by 8-9 weeks of age. |
